Le 18 janvier: Art et Agitation, La Paz à Marseille ... visit of Maria Galindo

































María Galindo is a performance artist, filmmaker and political turmoil at the head of the feminist collective Mujeres Creando (Women creating ...) Bolivia. In this collective struggle from day to day, with lucidity and hand in hand, peasants, prostitutes, maids, and women artists in general, against racism, poverty, machismo, homophobia, acting build a different society, more just, more equal, happier away from the neoliberal system. Mujeres Creando reinventing new ways of doing politics, of making art, think and act from a feminist outlook in Bolivia today, this group is not sparing in his critical, political parties and leaders of all tendencies, including the current government's Evo Morales.

Mujeres Creando could also be described as a structure of agitation and artistic creation, film making, action and urban interventions, development of political thought critical to help women in a precarious situation. January 18, 2009, our association, El otro lugar / The other place, in coordination with the Association 360 and even more , had the pleasure of sharing a moment with Maria and project 4 of his short films in the series Mamá No melo dijo ("Mom has not told me) to Company (district Belsunce). La novia, la puta, the monja (The Bride, The whore and the nun) are part of a long series of short films self-produced and aired on local television, which cast a critical light on Bolivian society through exploring the city, La Paz, these three female characters.
